Uncle Siphuncle
I'm partial to my Marlin 1895G lever action .45-70. The 18 1/2 inch barrel is quite handy in the woods when swinging on running hogs...and Winchester 300 grain hollow points are potent medicine... Grüße, Daniel A. Boesse
OK, here are some pictures of the infamous "locality 16" from my undergraduate field area. In the second picture, notice the gigantic mysticete whale mandible in the upper right (it is the long, curved bone). This wasn't the smartest thing I've ever done; where you can see the footprints in the third picture is a 6-8" wide ledge above an overhang, with an 18' drop to the beach. At least I found a walrus bone... Bobby

Boesse
Thanks lawooten - if you liked those pictures, then get a load of these - an assortment of photos from northern and central CA, and Oregon. Not a whole lot beats the coast...

lawooten
Boesse, I hope you do not mind I copied these pics to my file b/c in the winter I like to draw old houses, barns and scenic pics. Your pictures are absolutely stunning. I would love to collect more pictures from you when ever the mood strikes you. You have a very good eye for capturing just the right details. Please feel free to e mail me with pics. I myself try to get good pics to draw but I do not have the finesse that you seem to have with the camera. Bravo The best days are spent collecting fossils
screweduptexan
Ah yes, beautiful pics everyone! I still love the winter scene the best though. It's so serene the way it was captured on film...pixels. I can't come up with anything clever enough for my signature...yet.

Roz
This is one of my favorite haunts in Arkansas... It's the only place that I have ever found 3 mosasaur verts within a few feet of each other coming out of the side of one of those mounds. Dan, please don't say you know right where it is?
