Hi to everybody,

This afternoon I've found these two bones in Pliocene sediments (fluviodeltaic/shallow marine sediments)... can anybody help me identifying them?

Thanks in advance :)

Edit: I forgot to say that the black and white squares are 1 cm. across.

The first is an artiodactyl calcaneum. The second bone is an equus ectocuneiform. It's too compressed to be a magnum (and the articular facets are not right).

Very interesting. I see the ectocuneiform is also in your drawing on the top right, Harry. nchazarra can check that to confirm that it is an ectocuneiform. I find horse carpals and tarsals very challenging!

They are challenging, Cris. I had to go back to my comparison collection to be certain about the ID.

This comparison collection is still available, in time for xmas:
