It was cold enough to wear the 6mm FarmerJohn wetsuit yesterday. Here are some finds, some known, some not... Thanks for IDs

Cool finds shellseeker!! I'm no help with the ID's, but that antler/skull piece is wicked cool!

Nice. Once again I'm jealous. I'm on call this week and couldn't get out there. Which is probably a good thing as I see you found all the cool stuff again.

WTG!

Odd bone ??? Harry, almost the consistency of tillybone or fish ballast. It does not seem to be rock or even hardened mud. Here are some extra photos.

I think it is a periotic bone, probably from a marine mammal.

Love the antler! We went a few weeks ago when it had been 40 something the night before. It was a warm day but the water was chilly. We'll wait until it warms up a little before going again. I've seen some of those odd shaped ones, one I have almost looks like mouse ears. I have one that feels more glassy than rough like a bone.

The last two, look maybe like an alligator (cracked one) and barracuda tooth. These are some I have found. The first 3 I believe are alligator or crocodile teeth. The one on the right may be a barracuda tooth. These are all concave on the bottoms. The alligator teeth have circular growth rings in them and are pretty neat. It looks like yours has the same type of rings.

This site also has some photos of fossil alligator teeth to compare. http://www.fossil-tr...com/gat010.html
