translated from the paper:

 

They all come from carbonate sediments of the Semiluki Horizon near the city of Semiluki.  In the autumn of 2016, in the dumps of the Pavlovsk granite, A.G. Korchaginym found a trilobite tail shield. The type sample in which it was discovered - greenish argillite-like clays, including carbonated plant residues, ki crystals and small concretions of pyrite.

So I guess the Devonian sediments overlie the Granite and may be stripped off as over burden then. That is what I make of that translation. Thanks!

Although it is called the "Pavlovsky granite quarry," I cannot find any mention of either granite or other igneous rock in it other than the name of the quarry and note about Devonian volcanism. My wife, whose native language is Russian assures me that "granite" (гранитного ) is correctly translated.
