Hello Everyone.

Can anyone possibly tell me what I have in these pictures? There are 3 what I think are claws?? There is more of this animal that I will be posting. Im so anxious to hear what everyone has to say . The Large claw # 1. actually has veins in the petrified bone at the beginning of the claw, I guess there veins. #2. is spectucular in itself. Almost tooth like but feel its a claw as well. #3.

is claw like but not real sure. It is some kind of Bone,it appears to be anyway. I appreciate anyone that takes time to answer this post. Thanks again

Hello and Welcome to the Forum. :)

What are the sizes of the items, and where were they found?

Also, could we have pics from a few different sides?

From the pics currently posted, I'm leaning towards rocks on these items, as I'm not seeing anything that indicates organic origins.

Maybe others will have some ideas if you post pics from different angles and give us more info.

Looks like concretions to me, sorry. The reason I say that is the first one looks like the outer shell has split off on the one end.

Here are some better pictures I hope. These were found in Denton County Lake Dallas. The pictures with the 2 big vertibreas are just 2 of several. They were all linked together in the sand. This part of the lake has never been exposed . Its full of huge Flint Stone. I think it could have been a dinner for one of the Tribes. Im just guessing. The verts are about 10" wide and pretty heavy. Im having trouble get my pictures to upload on this site. There the required size ,but not going on to smoothly. Will keep trying though The large claw is 7 1/2 " the next smaller claw is 5" post-10796-0-47246700-1357626593_thumb.jpgpost-10796-0-77855200-1357627120_thumb.jpgpost-10796-0-77855200-1357627120_thumb.jpg

Hi Car209,

Welcome to the Forum. Sorry, but I do not think these are fossils either. Maybe another member will see things differently but I think you may have found some large concretions.

As for the pictures, you are allowed a maximum of 2mb of data on each post. This can either be one large image of 2mb or several smaller images that add up to 2mb. Try resizing your images to 1000 pixels in the long direction and see if that helps smooth the upload process.
