Fossil?

Can someone help me identify this fossil?

I found it in the woods during a hike in Bucks County, Pa a little over 2 years ago. There is also a reservoir in the vicinity. Could be some type of plant fossil when the reservoir was being dug out? Thanks!

I don't think it is a fossil in the conventional sense. What you are seeing are layers of limestone sandwiched between layers of chert. The limestone wears much faster, exposing the layers of chert. Layering like this could be a fossil remnant of a stromatolite.
