Evgeny, are there upper Carboniferous (Pennsylvanian) sponges to be found in Russia?

It would be interesting to compare faunas from two continents.

There's a couple of Pennsylvanian sponges from Russia

on the Carboniferous fossils of Russia website ...

Name: Eurete sp.

Class: Hexactinellida

Age: K2st

Location: Saratov, Russian Federation

Deep-sea form.

Deep-sea forms of genus Eurete have stems, but shoal forms of this genus have no stems.

Nice sponge. It looks like a stately oak in autumn.

Context is critical.

I enjoy your collection, and your expertise, very much! My exposure to this material has been sadly lacking.

Every time I visit this site, I find something new: new species or new forms of species I already have in my collection )))

That sounds wonderful!
