Auspex
A Waimanu skull! What an awesome find...I salute the gentleman for getting it to a museum as soon as he realized it was special "There has been an alarming increase in the number of things I know nothing about." - Ashleigh Ellwood Brilliant “Try to learn something about everything and everything about something.” - Thomas Henry Huxley >Paleontology is an evolving science. >May your wonders never cease! Boesse
Huh, I'll have to ask Ewan about that. I wonder if it's part of the same specimen (which was also wrapped in newspaper on a shelf for a long time); we have the rest of it on display in the geology museum down the hall from my office. If those penguin specimens become part of a permanent collection, I guarantee you that they will get described and probably named after you - but they have to be publishable first.
