Season Start

Last weekend I started my collecting season 2013 after this long winter. :) I was fortunate and found some Lower Carnian ammonoids.


Hunting again is a very good feeling. :D

Wow, off to a flying start. Well done.

What the heck is the big one in the middle? Are they teeth in there? Glad it's extinct lol.

I am not sure what part on the bigger limestone slab you mean exactly. The ripped piece is a part of a triassic ammonoid called Trachyceras.

The conus shape thing is a orthocone nautiloid. No teeth are in there; execpt very, very small fish teeth and conodonts.

I am also glad that season starts. But there is still much snow at higher locations.
