I thank SilverPhoenix for trading with me for this matrix. I'm very much looking forward to Whiskey Bridge.

All photos at Macro or SuperMacro using a Fujifilm FinePix.

Thanks Coco. It would have taken me a long time to get to that ID without your comment.

Only a few vertebrate specimens from this sample so far.

Nice material from the Whiskey Bridge site.

Post 6&9 may be Signata stenzeli but we need a photo of the other side of the specimen to be sure.

Post 8 is not Architectonica scrobiculata. We need a photo of the other side to determine species. It is an Architectonica.

Post10 is Turbinolia pharetra.

Post 11 is Pseudoliva vetusta linosa.

Post 12 is probably Buccitriton sagenum but it is sometimes difficult to differentiate it from B. texanum.

Post 13 is probably Hesperiturris nodocarinatus.

How long have you lived in Williamson County? I wrote the outdoor column for the Williamson County Sun for four or five years in the early to mid 90s.

I lived in williamson County from 1979 to 1987. An occupational move took me to Chester County, Pennsylvania and then retirement allowed me to return to Williamson County in 2002. However, I have had family in Williamson County and/or Central Texas going back to the mid to late 1800s.

Jim has studied this formation for decades and I'm not aware of any other person who knows the fauna better. ;)
