Guest Cris
Here's some in situ photographs from previous trips. Many of you may have seen most of them, but they're no longer on the board since it crashed. I'm adding them back for you that haven't seen them. All this was found on one trip.. I spotted the mako in the sidewall of a washout after getting on my hands and knees and looking under a tree root... Still don't know why I thought to do that.. Nothing special here... Just my first whole tapir tooth.. I was pretty happy with it since I was only finding broken ones for the longest time.. All these were found on another day.. Unfortunately, both the megs were broken... the one about gave me a heart attack since the sand was covering up the broken side..

Gatorman
Yes Florida is very nice for both shark teeth and vertebrate fossils. For Inverts though I think Texas is much better.
Mike Owens
I love those "in the field" photos. They should be helpful to the other Florida members, as to what to train their eyes for. The fossils are great too. -----"Your Texas Connection!"------ Fossils: Windows to the past
