AdamJack
Hello, can anyone help ID this tooth? It has a limestone matrix and was found in the desert in Southern Arizona. Any thoughts on it would be appreciated.
Scylla
looks like horse, I await the opinion of someone who knows something more than me.
RichW9090
Upper molar of a horse. Rather small. Can't make much of the occlusal pattern. Could be anything from Hemphillian to Rancholabrean 5 million years to 10,000 years ago. I'd need to see it to know for sure. That isn't limestone matrix, it is the natural cementum from the horse tooth. Rich 1 The plural of "anecdote" is not "evidence".
