Could it be a very worn/ broken lower anterior Goblin shark tooth? The root seems to be not preserved well od eroded away and the ttop half of crown broken off?

Well it's definitely not a shark tooth. I have attached a pic of it and a goblin (or porbeagle?) shark tooth for comparison and its simply not the same material.

It could be a denticle, but it would seem very thick and large for a denticle.

I am now beginning to think that is indeed not a tooth.

its definitely a very worn anterior goblin shark tooth, Scapanorhynchus texanus, as obsessed1 suggested. the enameloid is worn down to almost nothing, thats why it looks like a different material.
