I don't think it is fossils since the one bisects the other one at a right angle, but could be wrong.

It is a fossil. I found it from an area where there are lots of shells. :) I found in a small canyon like area. It seems like there are gastropods in every single rock you look at. Lots of marine life as well. Thanks for all the thoughts posted on here!

would love to see pics from all sides. Just because it was found in an area where other fossils are found does not mean that it too is a fossil. Like Herb said the pink lines intersect at 90 degrees and appear geologic. Also the hole on the left side appears too symmetrical almost like it was drilled. It might be a septerian nodule or a geode.

Were it mine, I'd put on my safety goggles and whack it a good lick, to see if the un-weathered interior might reveal something recognizable. :)
