Very Thin Shell

Recommended Posts

This was dug from the Taylor shale, Ozan Formation, in the North Sulpher River, near Ladonia, TX subject is about one inch square. The "shell" is very thin and fragile, and flakes off very easily. Is this part of a clam? Pelecypod? Thanks in advance for your help.
