gturner333
Have any of you made or purchased a tool to hold a fossil at a certain angle for photographing? I currently hold it with tweezers by hand while typing on the keyboard of my pc based microscope. I'm not that steady anymore Such a tool would be something like tweezers that would stay closed while sitting beneath the micoscope. Bullsnake
I got these in the bargain bin at the hardware store. Short of that, you could put a rubber band on regular tweezers. Steve

xonenine
mineral tack or even water based wood putty can be useful, as any odd shape can be "posed" in any position, with the added benefit of keeping the photo less cluttered Edited December 25, 2013 by xonenine "Your serpent of Egypt is bred now of your mud by the operation of your sun; so is your crocodile." MarcoSr
I use wax or clay. But both can damage a delicate micro fossil if you are not careful. gturner333
Sometimes i also use wax, but it can have its downsides. I like Bullsnakes tweezers. It was something like that i was looking for. Thanks for the suggestions.
