Can you provide us with some idea of scale?

Whatever it is it doesn't have a fossilised look about it. Looks fairly recent.

Certainly does look like part of a sacrum, fingers crossed it turns out to be animal of some kind and not human...

Edit- Just noticed your location, may I ask where in Australia?

Its the "tailbone" on us, if its human. Not saying it is, and i understand the EWW thing if it is! I wouldnt touch it either haha

Im saying its not Human actually. The gaps are way too big, going from this image. But then again, could be an age thing.

Definitely not human. Neural foramen are too large and the sacral body is too small. Not enough segments to be human either.

Luck is the most important skill of a fossil diver.

OK so I finally had the guts to measure it. It is approx.-12cm across 9.5cm long. as I put ruler on top so not exact. Hope this helps :)
