old bones
Here are some more finds from the Peace River matrix. Most are fish teeth which I realize cannot be IDd all the time. My main question; is ' B ' a sawfish rostral spine? A and E look like large crushing teeth, and C is more of the crushing tooth pallet. D has got me stumped... some kind of ray tooth? thanks for looking scale is mm
MarcoSr
B is a fish tooth or maybe a reptile tooth like lizard or amphibian tooth. D is a fish tooth. Are you sure A and E are teeth? C looks like a fragment of a fish plate. Marco Sr. Edited February 4, 2014 by MarcoSr "Any day that you can fossil hunt is a great day." MarcoSr
nope, not sure of anything ! lol thanks for the ID on B... gotta keep looking. thanks Marco I'm really not sure of B. It is definitely not a sawfish rostral spine. It could be fish, reptile or amphibian. Hopefully some one will recognize it. Marco Sr. "Any day that you can fossil hunt is a great day." Thank goodness MarcoSr and the other members who have helped get me as far as they do. These little fish teeth must be very hard to ID on their own as we find them. I need to find some more jaws! Lol. I need to learn more, I keep reading and looking at pics on the web. I love knowing what things are ... At least we are getting there with a lot of our finds
