TheAshBee
Hey all, Here are some bones from a Miocene-Pleistocene deposit in SC. I think they should be fairly easy to ID: ankle, wrist, fish, vertebra, etc... Thanks for any help! RichW9090
1 and 2 are carpal/tarsal bones. #I looks like either a navicular or a cuboid, or maybe an ectocunieform. I'll have to look at comparatives when I get back to the office. 3 looks like a pisiform, with that process sticking out. 4 is the proximal half of an ulna, and 5 looks lower jawish or skullish, with that lappet joint. I'll have to spend some time with the collections before I can pin names on them. Edited February 15, 2014 by RichW9090 The plural of "anecdote" is not "evidence".
