It looks like bone in the matrix to me, but it may just be geological. Thanks for your help, y'all.

Not sure on this one...really hard to tell anything (at least for me) from the pics.

Appears to me to be a limestone-like or even chalky matrix. One of the bumps in the top picture looks like it has a core of dark black material, like chert. There are suggestive shapes - but if they are bone, they are completely encased in limestone, with no bone-like material that I can see showing.
