Mart Posted February 28, 2014 Share Posted February 28, 2014 I was wondering what this is! it looks like a piece of bark, with a pickle-like skin. It kind of resembles some kind of slug, as there's some symmetry. What I don't understand is why it hasn't coalified like the rest of the coal around it? It readily came out of the piece of coal, and the coal was compressed around it. I broke it in half (I was so curious as to what it would look like inside), and it's like stone. Thanks!
