Newbie...where Is A Good Place To Start Looking?> Northern California

Hi I live in Northern california, Humboldt County, and i was wondering where is a good place to start looking for fossils? i'm completely new at this. any information to help me get started would be highly appreciated.

Tresdavis16, start panning for gold and sure enough... all you will find are Fossils!

California Bureau of Mines prints more stuff about Rocks, Minerals and Fossils and you are close to Sacramento where you can get a boxful and tell us about all of your finds!
