jonec016
Hi me and my girlfriend believe we may have found some sort of footprint in a stone within the Cornish country side. We have little to no experience in such subjects however we thought it may be worth just uploading it to you guys for a more expert opinion. Any help appreciated. Thanks Chris
TyrannosaurusRex
I don't see any tracks. What type of rock is it in? Are there other confirmed tracks anywhere near? I hope it is a track that would be a cool find!
jonec016
Its a shape of a large footprint at the bottom of the rock. I'm sorry i don't know what kind of rock it is as I'm no expert but the most distinctive feature is probably the three large toe like in-prints. It looks similar to some ornithopod footprints ive seen on Google images if that helps. Thank you for the fast reply. TyrannosaurusRex
It is possible that it's a ornithopod track… it would be missing a toe though. I hope it is as I know how it feels to be dissapointed…
Fossildude19
Sorry, but I am not seeing footprint here. Looks like odd erosional features, to me. Hope someone else can take a look and confirm or deny. Kosmoceras
They are not normally found in that part of England as the rocks come from older eras than dinosaurs lived meaning it would be impossible to be dinosaur track. Apologies for any disappointment. Best regards, Thomas
