Shamalama
Echinolampas ? It would be better with an origin and an age... Coco The one on the left looks like that to me. the one on the right is different though. Can you post a shot of the underside of each please? -Dave __________________________________________________ Geologists on the whole are inconsistent drivers. aminofsqui
Hello Al Dente, Thank you for your help. Actually I saw on google that Eupatagus has an orifice however the one I have doesn't present any. Any further explanations ?

Coco
It is probably under the matrix ! Al Dente
I agree with Coco that the orifice is either under the matrix or maybe part of the fossil is broken off. All echinoids have 2 orifices, one where food enters (peristome) and one where waste is expelled (periproct).
aminofsqui
So what should I do in order to identify them ?
aminofsqui
You are right ! I found an orifice and the other one is probably on the second spot.
aminofsqui
I removed some of the matrix surrounding the fossil and took more photos.
