mboz
Good afternoon yall, I recently stumbled across this fossil-filled limestone on a long hike in Boone County Missouri. I see lots of crinoids but there is a more unique/peculiar form in the center. My first thought was that it might be some bryzoans, but it seems a little large. Is this correct or could it be something else entirely? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Xiphactinus
That's a cool fossil! What you have is the internal mold of a crinoid calyx. Some of the internal structures are showing. I think it's most likely Physetocrinus.
