jahom15
My wife and I took a trip to Eastern NC in March. We always stop at the museum in Aurora to check out the spoil piles. The museum had just received some fresh dirt and I was itching to get in the dirt. Luckily it was raining the day we decided to hit the piles. We had the piles all to ourselves and a large puddle of water to screen the dirt in. My wife has her eye always on the large teeth and will pick and screen and only pull out the large ones. So sad to say the bigger teeth are all hers. I on the other hand feel compused to pick every little tooth or shell I come by. Here are a couple pics of our findings. Such are the hidden uses of adversity, as any optimistic fossil hunter can attest "There has been an alarming increase in the number of things I know nothing about." - Ashleigh Ellwood Brilliant “Try to learn something about everything and everything about something.” - Thomas Henry Huxley >Paleontology is an evolving science. >May your wonders never cease! jcbshark
Great haul Jerome, I sure wish that the powers that be would allow us (the public) to go thru some of the reject material that comes out of our pits. I can only imagine the treasures that get busted up or hauled out for fill Every once in a great while it's not just a big rock down there!
