This is FUN!

I used air dry clay (because that is what I had on hand), caught a chicken, and made dino tracks! This has air dried for 4 days (other clays can be baked and coated in an hour) and then coated it with an exterior semi-transparent stain for decks.

Very cool detail!!!

Thought this might interest someone. :)

Actually, Americuna rex! She lays blue eggs. :)

Interesting note, I was weeding the strawberries earlier today. This particular hen thinks she wants to be a pet and follows me around. She was sitting there watching me eat the strawberries as I was weeding them and got up and started pecking at a strawberry (heck, if mama likes strawberries, maybe I will too) of course I shooed her away.

She is also the lady who jumps up in my lap for bread. She watches the mammal cat get in my lap, so why not her?

Sooooo Funny! :hearty-laugh:

So I got to playing around with this dino print this morning trying to make it a bit more realistic. I decoupaged some sand onto it with ModPodge but I got too many regular lines. So I took a couple of hard bristle fossil cleaning brushes to it and a pick. Getting closer....

I added another coat of Deckscapes and I think it is turning out kind of cool. I like what the Deckscapes did to the sand and another coat brought out even more detail in the tracks.

I've been using this product for years on decks, old wood (brings out the cedar tone even on grayed wood), on cement statues as a waterproofer, fences, horse drawn wagons, whatever. Worst thing that happens is that it fades away - no peeling - and you just wipe, spray, or brush on a new coat. :)

Now check out the detail!
