North Sulphur River Finds

My work/fossil hunting balance has been totally skewed the wrong way recently. But, my son and I were able to squeeze in a trip to the NSR the other day while visiting my daughter in Denton. As usual about the time we gave up without finding anything spectacular I spotted this beautiful mosasaur jaw.

The other pic is a nice red chunk of baculite. The pieces I usually find out there are black and one time gray. This is my first piece out of the red beds.

Nice jaw section, congrats!

Every once in a great while it's not just a big rock down there!
