Hey Fruitbat, a few issues of taxonomy/classification:

1) Barnes 1989, 1990, 1992, and Berta 1994 do not belong in the Otariidae section - these papers all concern "enaliarctines" (also, "Enaliarctidae" isn't a recognized family)

2) Barnes 1970 and Nagao 1941 should be removed from Otariidae and stuck into Desmatophocidae; similarly, Barnes 1971, 1988, Barnes and Raschkey 1991, and Takeyama and Ozawa all describe fossil walruses and should be placed under Odobenidae; Repenning and Tedford 1977 deals with fossil walruses, otariids, desmatophocids, and enaliarctines and would be placed better under General Pinnipeds

Corrections made per Boesse! It is always nice to have an expert in the field (which I'm definitely NOT) to pick up on mis-steps.

I also moved the 'Enaliarctinae' as a subfamily under Otariidae as per Mitchell&Tedford. Is this the currently accepted taxonomic position?

Ehh, no; Mitchell and Tedford operated under a different and now abandoned taxonomic framework for pinnipeds. "Enaliarctines" are a paraphyletic assemblage of stem-Pinnipedia, the earliest diverging members of the Pinnipedimorpha. "Enaliarctine" is used as a colloquial term rather than a true monophyletic group. Leaving it as "Enaliarctinae" is fine, but they're not otariids. To put it simply - "enaliarctines" are the hub from which all the spokes (lineages) of other pinnipeds probably evolved.
