Auspex
I knew it was just a matter of time before another was found (but I thought it would be from an old collection, unrecognized)! A new fossil specimen of the dinosaur Archaeopteryx has been discovered...(Emphasis mine)I have always maintained that Archaeopteryx was not a bird, and that it had been so classified only because it possessed feathers. It is good to see that this view is eroding. Auspex
Where was it found? Same quarry as the others. Think they'd let me in? 63rover
I had the opportunity to see one of the fossils when it was on display at the Royal Ontario Museum. It was so much more detailed than any photo or description could do justice! I'll try to find my photo to post. Not that it did any better than others, just that I can say, "I took that and saw it up close". (ok, through protective glass.)
Fossildude19
Thanks for the link, Gus! I hadn't realized so many specimens had been found.
