The Fossil Forum's Member of the Month for July, 2014, is jcbshark :goodjob:

Most all you need to know about the character of this month's honoree can be gleaned from the pages of the Forum, and not only from his always good-natured posts; the sincere appreciation of everyone who has had the pleasure of participating in the fossil hunts he has organized, and of the lucky recipients of his laboriously acquired micro-matrix all speak of a great guy named Jeff.

Folks, I state without fear of argument, we are fortunate to have him aboard!

Jeff, we thank you!

Awesome! Congrats Jeff, well deserved! Jeff was the first member to reach out to me to go hunting. He also sent some extras when we traded matrix. Thanks again sir!

Well deserved. For those who have not had the pleasure of meeting him in person (as I have), he is just as amiable and good natured as he appears from his posts.

Wow , I hardly know what to say! Thank you all so much for the kind words. I am very appreciative to even be nominated much less win in a field of so many worthy members! I consider myself very lucky to be able to participate on here as I have and it has started quite a few friendships that would have not had a chance without TFF. The members that make up this forum are pretty amazing and it doesn't take long to notice once you start thumbing thru whether you're looking for a positive ID , some tips on spots to hunt in your hometown or for folks visiting from some far flung place, all the experts in prepping that share their skills on here and all the folks who go the extra mile to help folks on here . I'm not active on any other forums (it would cut into my hunting lol) but feel very fortunate to be a part of this community and all the genuine people that make this place what it is. When I first started to try to meet up with people on here my wife gave me the " be careful, I don't want you to wind up dead" so I assured her this isn't craigslist that these people are coming from lol.Now that she has gone on a couple hunts with members on here she agrees that it's a different breed of folks that make up TFF and a world removed from many other" internet experiences".In closing I would just like to say thank you for recognizing my contributions , among so many other great members who offer so much. It is truly an honor.

Jcbshark,

Congratulations. I see so many posts from other members about how happy they were trading with you or collecting with you on the trips you organize. I'm glad you've been recognized as someone going out of his way to contribute to the forum.

I laughed when you said your wife was worried about you joining the forum. Yeah, most people who collect fossils are pretty laid-back, not looking for trouble.

It's a little late, but congrats! I always enjoy your threads, especially the trip reports. If I ever go a little south or you ever come up a little north, maybe we'll have a chance to hunt together.

Thanks Cris, sounds good! I went out today with 2 guys, (plantguy and search4) and we all found some nice stuff. Hopefully later this evening I'll have time to throw a trip report up with some pics : )
