Looking For Trilobites (And A Little Bit Of Everything)!

Hello,

I am looking for trilobites from pretty much any locality, but in particular St. Petersburg, Erfoud, and Ardmore, OK. I am trying to expand my collection with any species, including:

Asaphus kowalewskii (prone, complete)

Paraceraurus

Hoplolichas

In return, I can offer a beautiful 21" Diplomystus dentatus from Green River, several fragments that are 6-10" of Heliobatis radians, Sabalites and Knightia displays (constructed), St. Clair fern fossils, and then plenty of commercial pieces.

Additionally, I am looking for educational pieces to use for presentations, such as:

-Hadrosaur or Oviraptor eggs, medium-quality

-Dinosaur claws

-Dinosaur Tracks and other assorted pieces

-Unprepared Green River fish (small, split-layer Knightia for practice preparation)

-Eurypterid specimens; I would be interested in small, medium-grade pieces--I have an E. lacustris as an example for similar pieces

-Pretty much anything!

If you have any fossils you feel would work well for fossil presentations aimed at ages 10 to 18, I'd love to take a look at them!

I am aware of the value of these specimens (and the trilobites!), and I am certainly willing to work with you on the pieces for trade.

Lastly, I am looking for a composited Captorhinus aguti skeleton, which I would be willing to dig trilobites out of my "No-Trade" box for!

That's an incredibly beautiful Diplomystus!

  • I found this Informative 1

Looking forward to meeting my fellow Singaporean collectors! Do PM me if you are a Singaporean, or an overseas fossil-collector coming here for a holiday!

Thank you!

I absolutely love the preparation outlining it; here are a few more pictures of the piece.

Only trilobite I have XD

I love them, but I have plenty!

I certainly wouldn't mind a mass-mortality plate :P .

Here are a few more pictures of pieces I have available:

Updated with what I'm looking for--I'm not picky :P !

I have tentatively picked up a beautiful little Cordania trilobite.

Here is the example I mentioned earlier about Eurypterids :)

I did end up with the Cordania, so at least one trilobite can be crossed off :D

Well, I've been trying to trade off pieces, but all I've done is add some more on (although I can cross off a Greenops from New York, despite it never being on the original list :P )!

I am away from home at the moment, but I've picked up a few Oklahoman pieces that might be good for teaching (crinoid stems, brachiopods), and they are up for trade as well.

  • 4 weeks later...

I have since added more pieces that were never on the original list, but I have finally completed a few of the trilobites and have plans for a few more.

I also came across a 27" Hyphalosaurus on a 3' x 2' matrix that has been stabilized (coated over the top and backed with plywood). The animal itself is 80-90% original, with restoration to the digits, pelvis, and neck. It's a phenomenal display piece, but for the right trilobites it is up for trade as well :D
