rejd
That is a nice start for sure. Just remember, we all had to start as well. Thanks for sharing. Plantguy
Nice collection. I started out with finding a clam and then it snowballed into a pile of them and other things 40+ years later...Watch out! Have fun! Regards, Chris

I did not find my 1st fossil until 2009 and now I have found 10s of thousands of them - I have a chance to get to NZ in January and was thinking about this REALLY neat video: http://www.teara.govt.nz/en/interactive/34836/fossil-hunting-kiritehere-beach Do you have a chance to go there? Triceratops
Quick question. Has the trilobite been frankensteined. Two different animals put together or is it one bug that has been patched up after being blown out of the ground. There is a clear line on the top of the bug but none on the bottom. There is also evidence of bits being glued back on on the face. I don't mind if it has been patched up a bit tooooo much and I kind of like how he looks old and battle scarred. Will you get to go there? If it works out, I'll be on a business trip to Auckland (takes 23 hours by air) and Kiritehere is 3 hours by car. IF I get the business trip, I WILL visit that beach.
