zdufran
I would like some help identifying each of these six features. The first 5 were collected in Cretaceous limestone around Lake Texoma, Oklahoma. Number six was collected near the Lake Fort Gibson Dam, Oklahoma in Mississippian stone. ONE This sort of looks like tracks. I would have guessed cruziana, but trilobites didn't live in the Cretaceous... Both full view and macro photos shown. TWO Very small feature. Irregular in shape. They look like tracks of some kind. THREE A spiraling feature. Both full view and macro photos shown. FOUR This one is very small. Maybe it's a gastropod, and not a trace fossil. Macro photo only. FIVE This one is a raised area in the shape of the radioactive hazard symbol. Small feature. SIX This one is Mississippian. These are all closeup photos of the same feature. Looks like tiny spaghetti noodles all lying side by side. The size is about 0.5 cm x 3 cm. Thanks all! Auspex
#s 3 and 4 are sections through gastropods; #3 being a longitudinal view through a high-spired species. howard_l
The first photos look to be from an impression from a clam, the second appears to be trace fossil of a worm burrow. They have id gastropods all ready. The rest ? Howard_L http://triloman.wix.com/kentucky-fossils
