Anyone know the ID of this plant....I am having a hard time narrowing it down from the Wittry guide. I am rather fond of it...it is one of the more unique flora specimens I have found.

Sweet Aphlebia! I'm hoping something that nice is hiding in the bucket of nodules soaking in my garage.

Cheers.

I saw that pun coming a mile away when I misread the second sentence in Evan's original post. Unlike others on this forum I resisted the urge at making the cheap pun--hmm, I wonder what's wrong with me, better make an appointment to see my doctor. :P

How 'bout: With fronds like that who needs annelids?

Oh, feeling better--cancel that appointment.

Cheers.

I guess it must be Aphlebia if you all think so. It's really beautiful and I can well understand why you're so fr...oops...fond of it.

I'd almost be tempted to consolidate it with oil and vinegar. ;)

Very punny guys. I’m surprised that this specimen can only be characterized incertae sedis. It appears to have distinguishing features that would make it possible to place it in a more well defined genera.
