Here you go John. A bunch of Rhinobatos incertus and I threw in a little Cretolamnia appendiculatus also.

You know, I have one of those and have been to lazy to ID it- thanks! lol

Objection your honour (Canadian spelling, eh!)

I see damaged teeth in there. Partial credit only. Plus it's a penny. The rules specifically called for a dime

And for Mike: A canuck dime is the same size as a US one, it's just only worth about 8 cents. Our money does't differ from yours until we get into loonies and two-nies. And yes, that really is what we call our "funny money" :P

I only have pennys :P

I will make a new pic soon without broken teeth.

I really liked this post. Here are some from last weekend in North Tx.I got 25 on there, but haven't done the final screening. Looks like a bucket of mud.

gee, john, you created a monster. this is worse than moore's law. but then again, exponential shark tooth proliferation might play into tj's sense of relevance...

42 for tj... I tried to minimize any overlap for a true test. These are all from the same Cretaceous Eagle Ford matrix. Setting up for this shot was like a nightmarish version of the children's game Operation. Now I need to go rest my eyes. biggrin.gif

um, john - assuming i were to ever actually do something like that, i'm relatively certain i wouldn't announce the fact on the interwebz.

<yellin' off camera> hey, tj! come look at what happens when somebody don't take their meds!

p.s. - i was good at that kid's game "operation", but my parents' refusal to spring for an autoclave led to some infections...

Ok, you'll have to redo it. Can't tell you used a dime. :D

hey john, make sure no one figures out that's one of those over-sized dimes ^_^ i must admit, thats pretty impressive. could you take them off the dime and film yourself putting them back on in those circular patterns several more times? :P

OK Mike and tj, since over-sized dimes are a recent government phenomenon, I'm hoping the 1970 dime gets me off the hook. tongue.gif

isn't leaving them on there overnight defacing government coinage?

also, i notice that the roots are hanging over the edge, which is clearly a balk.

cheaters never prosper, mister <said with that high-pitched, whiney, annoying voice my little sister used to use on me when we were kids>

say, isn't that tooth on the second row at 14 o'clock a baby meg?!

OK I was hoping this would come up in the discussion, but never did. Dumb newbie question:

Are these tiny teeth from tiny sharks, or are they juvenile teeth from larger sharks?

Hi Curt,

the tiny teeth are from tiny species from shark :

Scyliorhinus distans

Scoliodon taxandriae

Isistius triangulus

Chaenogaleus affinis

for Carcharias acutissima and Sqatina subserrata they are from larger shark
