Bev
Ordovician SE Minnesota Maybe Maquoketa Shale First hunt of the year with the granddaughter and 3 minutes into the first place we stop, "Bev, Bev, I found a weird fossil." Trilobite! That kid has the eye! Her first hunt 10' in and she gets a Halysites Coral - nice one at 5 years old! This year it's a trilobite! Pretty sure there is more than a tail there, but totally unfamiliar with this bug. Thoughts? Thanks for looking! The more I learn, I realize the less I know. piranha
You have a Flexicalymene pygidium that's slightly flattened. It's not very different if you see a 3D example next to it.
