Hair In Quartz?

I have circled the hair I can see coming out of this quartz rock, here is a few pictures to help me identify please?

Found in bay :)

It is approx. 5cm wide

Might be an odd crystal growth. Some times crystals can be so skinny they appear hair like. Is the hair hard?

No it is soft, I can move it around I thought maybe seaweed stuck to it but washed and still there.

It could also be a fine root. They're quite sturdy. But that's plain guessing, since none of the photos are detailed enough to even allow a proper glimpse of the subject.

All I can say is it is like hair and I have drawn a circle around all pieces on rock, I think ill have to upgrade my camera :)

You may need to use a microscope to be able to ID the 'hair'
