oilshale Posted August 20, 2014 Share Posted August 20, 2014 (edited) I guess they used hard solder (silver solder, not the normal tin-solder 焊锡 ) to braze the needle into the piston. You might be able to take it apart by heating it up to around 700°C. Then you can replace the needle by a tungsten carbide rod (http://www.chinatungstencarbide.com/tungsten-carbide-structural-section.html). But to cut and sharpen the tungsten carbide rod, you will need a diamond grinding wheel. Thomas PS: If you have access to a lathe 车 (or know a lathe operator), you can easily build your own replacement parts.
