Mary Ganes
Found this along the shoreline of Lake Erie. Looks rather smooth and stone-like in appearance. Light grey in color with a darker top. Any thoughts if it might be a tooth?
fossilized6s
Welcome. That is a water worn piece of Rugose coral (Horn coral). ~Charlie~ "There are those that look at things the way they are, and ask why.....i dream of things that never were, and ask why not?" ~RFK ->Get your Mosasaur print ->How to spot a fake Trilobite ->How to identify a CONCRETION from a DINOSAUR EGG
Raggedy Man
Nice coral piece! On a side note..is that new quarter a Wisconsin quarter? If so you should check to see if the corn cob it where it's supposed to be. Flawed Wisconsin quarter in mint uncirculated sells for $90k... Just thought I'd point that out! Have a good one! 1 ...I'm back.
Mary Ganes
Thanks for identifying the coral piece! I'll also go check all my new quarters for the flawed Wisconin one!
