rejd
Found this the same day as this trip http://www.thefossilforum.com/index.php?/topic/49112-alberta-badlands-august-26th-2014/ and just finished putting it back together. Some of the pices were a bit brittle so I consolidated them with a 5% W/V mixture of paraloid B72 and then used a 50% W/V mixture to glue them together. Once dired I used a Q-tip soaked in acetone to clean up any of the glue that squeezed out. It didn't take too long and I am happy with the results. The first picture is how it was collected. Second pic is all pieces cleaned and of course the last is the completed tooth. Ludwigia
Very clean job. Well done! I've also had a few puzzles to deal with and I must say I have developed a huge respect for the archeology assistents who spend weeks at a time puzzling out and glueing pottery shards and whatnots back together. rejd
Thanks all. And yes, having all the pieces and clean breaks certainly help. There were a number of very small pieces that i had to figure out where they went but I found them! I love doing this kind of stuff.
