The only other evidence of fish I have found in this particular spot was a worn xiphactinus vertebrae so that would make sense. Would it be safe to call it xiphactinus because of the association? Xiphactinus Posted September 1, 2014 Share Posted September 1, 2014 I label my individual scales as "Ichthyodectid fish scale". That covers all 3 of the genus that I listed.
