scatsob
I think this is the second year that MCCS has brought dirt from Aurora for this event. It pretty fun for the kids and we don't have to drive "all the way" to the museum. Here are some Mako teeth of various sizes and one almost perfect great white? second from the left, just the very tip is missing.
ajracrew
The tooth in question is a chubutensis/megalodon. Nice finds!

scatsob
Well I am taking the kids back armed with a shovel and rake this afternoon so hopefully we find some more. That little Meg was just sitting on the in someone's trailings....these things are pretty hard to distinguish from just rocks if you don't know what to look for. scatsob
Went back after some light rain this morning and found a 2.25" Meg sitting right on top of the pile . Here are some pictures along with a little one I found last year and the matrix "pile" they laid out. Hopefully they knock it down more with a tractor soon to reveal more.
