Hello all,

i've found this "tooth" last weekend at the quarry of Winterswijk. I think it is a shark tooth but from what shark? Hopefully someone can ID it :) thx in advance.

What is the age of the strata/rock there?

Hard to say, as it appears the tooth is root upwards? May only get a good id if you prep it out somewhat.

Some type of Hybodont shark I would think - possibly Polyacrodus, Acrodus, or Lissodus.
