Phossiker Posted September 19, 2014 Share Posted September 19, 2014 I want to run an activity for kids involving the formulae for calculating a creatures speed based upon their stride and leg length. I would like to do this with Struthiomimus (because I have access to a cast). I cannot, however, find a paper or information regarding Strothiomimus trackways. Is any one aware of one? The charts are from: Chapter 10: Speeds of Dinosaurs, pp. 287-308 in: Thulborn, R.A. (1990) Dinosaur Tracks Chapman and Hall, 410 pp. The text has a lot of information with regard to how the formulas are calculated and there is also a separate chapter on the gaits of dinosaurs.
