ricardo
Dear FF members and cephalopods experts, Today morning I went for a walk as I do when sun is shining. I found 4 or 5 interesting Callovian ammonites. I haven’t good local papers about it to help me (my library is almost about mineralogy, mineral deposits and igneous petrology) but I think this one is an Indosphinctes patina. Choffatia sp is also possible? Am I far-off from true? Thanks in advance. ricardo
Today afternoon I went for a walk again and I found this one. Also a Callovian. Some of the Dogger Ammonites experts can give me a possible genus ID please? Its a flat ammonite. Thank you. FossilDAWG
I'll wait for some of our resident experts on Jurassic ammonites to offer suggestions for IDs. However, a photo of the second specimen showing the whorl profile/thickness, would be very helpful. I do want to say that if I lived anywhere close to a place where I could "go for a walk" and find such fossils, I'd be much thinner than I currently am. I'd much rather be walking than driving for hours, followed by crawling around on knee pads. Don
