lukas.grafton
I have a fossilised sharks tooth that I need help identifying. I'm not sure where the fossil was found, but a little research has led me to believe it could be that of a Striatolamia macrota. Any thoughts on the true identity of the fossil would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
sharko69
I am leaning towards Cretolamna. Let's see what the others say. Hard to tell not knowing where it came from.
sixgill pete
It would definitely help in ID if we had some info on where the tooth was found and some idea of the geologic age. Sélacien34
Hello, no determinated origin is a problem to make a good ID, global shape seems ok with Cretolamna. http://users.skynet.be/somniosus/Cretalamna_appendiculata_Cenomano-Turonian.htm http://www.phatfossils.com/species.php?species=Cretolamna%20Appendiculata&thisOffset=10&lineIndex=
