tmaier
Wikipedia could use some work when it comes to donated fossil photos and writing about taxons. Is anybody here an author on Wikipedia? (I feel bad... I raise the question but don't contribute myself.)
Sylvestersen
HiI am a keen user of wikipedia myself. And I am a huge fan of the idea of sharing knowledge, but haven't contributet with much on wikipedia my self. But when I couldn't find anything about the geological formation where I have made all my best fossil findings I decided to create the page my selfhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fur_Formation and it is actually a satisfaction to see that other people starts to contribute to the page. I know that we here on The Fossil Forum together have a huge knowledge about geologi and fossils and hope that just a tiny fraction of this one day will end up on Wikipedia.by the way a good place to start could be to create a page for The Fossil Forum on wikipedia. And my contribution to wikimedia commons https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:ListFiles/Rene_Sylvestersen&ilshowall=
Axelorox
I haven't authored anything but my photo of the Field Museum mount of Edaphosaurus pogonias is on Wikipedia. It was added there by a fellow who went by the screen name schnautzr (or something similar) who seemed to be a main monitor/contributor of Wikipedia's paleontology-related pages. Unfortunately I lost touch with him over the years.
Arion
I contributed to the Ceratosaurus page a number of years ago, but generally speaking I haven't contributed much. I don't really use wikipedia for paleontology related stuff, so I guess I don't catch many inaccuracies/omissions. What I have seen of what's there is generally fairly well-done however. Stocksdale
Earlier this year, I started making contributions to Wikipedia. Biggest thing was a new and fairly extensive page for Macroneuropteris. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macroneuropteris Also created these articles or added sections or photos. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peachocaris https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Essexella https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fusain Did some major additions to https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psaronius I mostly waded into obscure areas of Paleontology to get my feet wet. Pretty easy to add articles and images, though. There are a lot of areas that could use quite a bit of help with images and editing/writing. MB
Yes, I'm contributor for few topics and comments in wikipedia as Montezumellidae (in Cancroidea and Cheiragonoidea), Bathynectes muelleri and more... but I'm very unconfortable there, because my very low knowledge of english language and the odd way of communication with the moderators, stoped me to continue collaborating. Also, I'm unable to post some pictures there. http://www.mbfossilcrabs.com/

I can't comment on the communication with the moderators, but as for your command of English, I wouldn't worry about it - other people can make corrections later - the main thing is that you started an article that did not exist before!
