Good Fossil Sellers.

I have been browsing round the internet recently in search of good fossil dealers. One site which has caught my eye is Dino Fossils UK, has anyone ever brought fossils from them and did you have any problems. I would love to know!

Thanks.

I have heard indiana9fossils.com is a reputable seller. I haven't heard of that one though. Then again I haven't bought any so what do I know?

Yes, indiana9fossils.com has an excellent reputation. He has a great display of specimens for sale at one of the Tucson shows.

You should also check out thenaturalcanvas.com - very knowledgeable and established dealer as well.

Hi,

Mike, we never have to put a direct (clickable) link toward an email on web, Under punishment that the owner is invaded by spams ! Write on the internet only the email of your enemies !

You have to write it like that :

Byron @ fossils-uk.com or in a way that we can't click on it ;)

  • 4 weeks later...

I have purchased a lot from Indiana9, nothing but good to say about them.

If you show them a transitional, they'll ask for two more. ;)

I've dealt with this dealer and have had no issues.

Let me add a note about all the, what I call generalist dealers, and that is they are not experts in everything they sell. They simply pass on to you the buyer what they are told and it may not necessarily be correct all of the time. The buyer needs to be knowledgeable in what he is buying.

Edit: A reputable dealer is also one willing to accept a return for cash, not store credit, if you find out the item is different than described.

I'd like to think we are pretty reputable :) We are fairly new dealer having only been in business a year and a half but have shipped over 5,000 orders with some pretty good customer reviews/feedback. https://www.ekomi-us.com/review-fossilera.html

We strive to be as upfront as possible about any restoration on the specimens we sell. We'll take returns for any reason within 2 weeks delivery and at anytime if the buyer believes we misrepresented the authenticity or information surrounding a specimen (we've never had a return for this reason).

As the commenter noted being a "generalist dealer" it's impossible to know everything about every specimen. We do have to rely on information provided by suppliers and third party experts, but do our best to verify it. If I don't have complete confidence in a particular identification, I try to make note of it in the description. Mistakes in identification do happen occasionally despite our best efforts but that's one reason we will accept a return at anytime if there is any issue over it.

I made an order and recieved it. I am quite pleased and even surprised on how professional the package was wrapped. Definitely worth doing again!
