jgcox
I bought a box of SD matrix from tj102569 a few months back and have been dissolving some of the larger rocks in Vinegar enhanced with a little concentrated acetic acid. Making an approx. 30% solution really works well. Found this tooth in the last batch I screened and washed. It is a beautiful tooth and does anyone know the name?? old bones
I found mostly Ptychodus Whipplei in that matrix. The lateral teeth do not have as high a 'bump' .
jpc
yup, a Ptychodus tooth. species is more difficult, but there are people here who ought to be able to make an educated guess.
